Cayenne Pepper: Sprinkling cayenne pepper around your plants can deter animals from eating them. Just be sure to reapply after it rains.
Garlic and Onion Spray: Boil chopped garlic and onion in water for 30 minutes, then let it cool. Strain the mixture and put it in a spray bottle. Spray your plants with the mixture every few days to deter animals.
Human Hair: Placing human hair around your plants can also deter animals. They'll smell the human scent and think twice about munching on your seedlings.
